Get plugged in!

Have you enjoyed coming along to events? Do you want to have lots of fun every week?  Why not come along to your local church on a Sunday. Below are a few family friendly services that you could come along to.

St Michaels Church, Melksham

At St Michaels we are offering lots of choices. We have a more traditional morning service at 10.15 each Sunday (apart from the last Sunday of the month), during which there is Sunday Club and creche provision.

We are also in the process of developing an exciting new service which seeks to feed the families in our congregation in a more contemporary way. t @ 4 begins at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and it’s a great place to meet other, like-minded people. We start with 20 minutes of tea time where drinks and yummy homemade treats are served. Following this we have a short, interactive, modern service.

Here’s how our pattern of services works each Sunday:

1st At 10.15 there is a family communion service which is suitable for all ages. During the morning there is both Creche and Sunday Club provision so that all the Children are catered for!

2nd The 10.15 service follows the same format as last week. However, in the afternoon we have t @ 4 from 4.00 in St Michaels Church hall which is great fun and suitable for all ages.

3rd  At the 10.15 service we sometimes get to welcome new families who are having their children baptised. And if we don’t have a baptism, then today will follow the same format as the 1st Sunday. Either way Sunday Club and Creche will be provided.

4th & 5th We aren't always sure which of these Sundays will be the last in the month and so that makes it a bit confusing! Whichever Sunday is the last of the month is our team Service (in the morning), and this means we join with the congregations from St Barnabas and St Andrews Churches rotating around the three Churches. There is usually Sunday Club provision at this service. It's a great way to meet other local Christians and socialise with the wider Church of Melksham.

If it's a 5 Sunday month then the 4th Sunday will be a normal 10.15 service with Creche and Sunday Club provision in St Michaels.

During the afternoon of the 4th Sunday we have t @ 4 again in St Michaels church hall.

St Andrews Church, Forest

1st Today is Family Communion! There is hearty biblical food for parents, and a relevant, exciting Junior Church for the children. Both groups will be focussed around similar teaching Perhaps the Kids can give you a fresh understanding of your Sunday Sermon? After this we come back together to receive communion as one big church family.

2nd Snap! This service follows the same format as the 1st.

3rd At the heart of our Churches vision lies the importance of receiving new members to our congregation through Baptism. We love to welcome families as a whole church, so there will be no Sunday Club, but there will be tons of fun! This is an interactive, all age service which is sure to get you excited about God!

4th & 5th When we get to the end of the month, it all starts getting a bit more confusing! Whichever is the last Sunday of the month is our team service, where we join with St Barnabas and St Michaels church, rotating around each building for the service. If there is a 5th Sunday then the 4th has the same format as the 1st and is at St Andrews as normal! Whatever happens, there will be Junior Church! Few!

Here at St Andrews, we love having families at Church! We offer a slightly less traditional service than St Michaels but it’s still packed with great stuff! Why not come along at 10.00 on a Sunday morning and find out what’s going on? Here’s a sneaky peak...
